Onsite Photography at the Beach Club

There is nothing better than being a teenager and getting to spend some quality time at the beach on vacation.  With tons of things for kids todo at the beach on vacation, there are literally hundreds of things that teenagers can find  to occupy their time.  I can almost bet that are very few of them that would consider family portraits any where near remotely close to what they would want to do on vacation.  Even though, moms would put that very high on the list.  So we often find ourselves in a odd predicament.  The teenagers show up, and we have to convince them it is really something they want todo.  Sometimes not a very easy task, but one we must tackle.  It is not as hard as one would think though but absolutely crucial to make sure smiles are natural and not forced.  With over twenty five combined experience, we know exactly what todo.  Its the simple tricks of the trade that help us convince anyone to crack a smile, young or mature. Gulf Shores Senior Portraits

We had the distinct pleasure of working with one outstanding high school senior this morning at sunrise.  Not only did this kid rock her session, she was a pleasure to photograph.  With all sunrise senior sessions, everyone always arrives a little bit anxious.  It really is a big deal waking up at sunrise, and add to the stress of just wondering if the alarm is actually going to go off, you have to be hair fixed and dressed while being ready to go way before the crack of dawn.  Not something most would consider fun while on vacation.  Well that is until they actually arrive and the realize, hey this is gonna be fun.  Special thanks to our outstanding senior from this morning for falling fast into the fun part.  Your attitude was wonderful, and it made working with a pleasure.  That’s what truly makes sessions roll.  When the subject is having a great time, the smiles are not forced.  When the smiles are natural, photographic magic starts to happen.  We got to experience this first hand our whole session this morning.  Thank you so much for check out our work, and letting us be your goto for your Gulf […]

Professional Portraits in Gulf Shores

Orange Beach Vacation Photographer

With thousands of activities to consume your time on vacation, it is almost a chore to decide what todo at the beach.  One of the most basic and simple activities is having a little fun with your little brother in the sand.  If I was five, and had a two year old little brother, that is exactly what I would do.  Built a sand castle, tear it down, look for sharks teeth, wrestle a little while, who could imagine anything more fun on a break from the real world.  What would you do?  Well these two little tykes did just that at our sunset session last night.  They had so much fun.  The two year olds nick name was, “Ton of Fun” and he truly lived up to it.  Thanks so much fellows for calling us again to be your Orange Beach Vacation photographer.  We really had a fun time with ya’ll!  Have a wonderful time in Orange Beach this week. Romantic Getaway in Orange Beach

There are bad guys, good guys, and great guys!  We had the opportunity to meet and work with one of the few great ones around at last night’s sunset.  After twenty two years of marriage, this special beau decided to surprise his beautiful bride with a special surprise weekend at the beach.  It was truly a romantic getaway in Orange Beach, Alabama, and it is still in the making today.  She had no clue what his plans were for her for this weekend, but like their very first blind date, she was willing to get in the car and see where fate was to take her.  He had every little detail planned, including a romantic couples session with us at Sun Shots last night.  We can’t wait to speak with them next week to see what else the weekend had in store for them.    We are positive that no matter what in store, I am positive the sparkle in the eyes will alway be there. Family Photography at the Beach Club

It is a bird!  It is a plane!  No, it’s just a great dad giving his little guy some flight time at our sunset session from last night.  This is actually one of our favorite shots todo.  The kids just love it, and with the right sunset it really packs a stunning visual punch in the final photograph.  Not to mention, its a great workout for pop, lol.  Our family from last night was staying at the Beach Club, which is one of our favorite getaways down here on the Gulf Coast.  Like the atmosphere at the resort, family photography at the Beach Club is always casual and relaxed.  We always seem to have a great time, and last night was no exception.  The kids were two and eight months, and they were just as happy as they could be.  Thanks guys for calling on us at Sun Shots to be your family photographer while on your vacation at the Beach Club.  We really enjoyed working with the whole family! Family Portraits at the Caribe Resort

One of the best keep secret’s along the Gulf Coast is an awesome resort called the Caribe.  Quaintly located at the foot of Perdido Key in Orange Beach, Alabama.  The Caribe is one of the nicest resorts on the shores of the Gulf.  From many waterpark like pools, to stunning views of the area, it is defientely one of our personal favorite spots to vacation as well as to photograph on location.  Not only is it a kids dream come true, it is a boater’s heaven.  You could seriously go from balcony to red snapper fishing in a matter of minutes, considering it is the closest dock to the Perdido Pass, our gateway to the Gulf.  Did I mention the beach access is also one of my favorite spots to work!  Oh, and moms love it because it is just minutes away from some of the best shopping in the area at Sanroc Cay!
